SQL Database Administrator (SQL 2012)
The successful SQL Server Database Administrator will work in production environment from the office in Berkshire or Middlesex. Candidates will have experience of administering SQL Server 2012 databases in a business critical production environment. Experience of other databases, particularly Oracle would also be useful but is not essential. Responsibilities will include: Software installation Planning and creation of databases Backup and recovery Performance tuning and monitoring Database consultancy Adherence to the Incident Management and Change Management process Producing documentation Troubleshooting Essential Experience A solid background of at least 5 years in database administration is required. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in administration within a highly professional environment. * 5 years production SQL Server database administration in 2012 (Enterprise & Standard editions) * Maintenance of business critical systems * Windows Clustering and other HADR technologies * Experience in administering and deploying to SSRS, SSIS and SSAS environments Windows 2003/2008/2008R2/2012 experience * Experience of working within a virtualised environment, including virtualised SQL Servers using VMWare Church International Ltd (CIL) acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
